There Is A Sore Evil In The Land, Namely, Riches Kept For The Owners Thereof To Their Hurt.

GILYAHNA - REVELATION 18:2
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

GILYAHNA - REVELATION 18:3
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

The Vanity Of Riches Shown

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:13
13 There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:14
14 But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetts a son, and there is nothing in his hand.

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:15
15 As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:16
16 And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit has he that has labored for the ruach?

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:17
17 All his days also he eats in darkness, and he has much sorrow and wrath with his sickness.

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:18
18  ¶ Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor that he takes under the sun all the days of his life, which YAHWEH gives him: for it is his portion.

The Right Use Of Riches
KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:19
19 Every son of adam also to whom YAHWEH has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of YAHWEH.

KOHETET - ECCLESIASTES 5:20
20 For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because YAHWEH answers him in the joy of his heart.

The Lamentations Over Babylon

GILYAHNA - REVELATION 18:9

9  ¶ And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Making Of Idols The Beginning Of Fornication, And Corruption Of Life

WISDOM 14:12
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life,

WISDOM 14:13:
for neither have they existed from the beginning nor will they exist forever.

WISDOM 14:14:
For through the vanity of men they entered the world, and therefore their speedy end has been planned.

WISDOM 14:15:
For a father, consumed with grief at an untimely bereavement, made an image of his child, who had been suddenly taken from him; and he now honored as a god what was once a dead human being, and handed on to his dependents secret rites and initiations.

WISDOM 14:16:
Then the wicked custom, grown strong with time, was kept as a torah, and at the command of monarchs graven images were worshiped.

WISDOM 14:17:
When men could not honor monarchs in their presence, since they lived at a distance, they imagined their appearance far away, and made a visible image of the king whom they honored, so that by their zeal they might flatter the absent one as though present.

WISDOM 14:18:
Then the ambition of the craftsman impelled even those who did not know the king to intensify their worship.

WISDOM 14:19:
For he, perhaps wishing to please his ruler, skilfully forced the likeness to take more beautiful form,

WISDOM 14:20:
and the multitude, attracted by the charm of his work, now regarded as an object of worship the one whom shortly before they had honored as a man.

WISDOM 14:21:
And this became a hidden trap for mankind, because men, in bondage to misfortune or to royal authority, bestowed on objects of stone or wood the name that ought not to be shared.

WISDOM 14:22:
Afterward it was not enough for them to err about the knowledge of YAHWEH, but they live in great strife due to ignorance, and they call such great evils shalom.

WISDOM 14:23:
For whether they kill children in their initiations, or celebrate secret mysteries, or hold frenzied revels with strange customs,

WISDOM 14:24:
they no longer keep either their lives or their marriages pure, but they either treacherously kill one another, or grieve one another by adultery,

WISDOM 14:25:
and all is a raging riot of blood and murder, theft and deceit, corruption, faithlessness, tumult, perjury,

WISDOM 14:26:
confusion over what is good, forgetfulness of favors, pollution of souls, sex perversion, disorder in marriage, adultery, and debauchery.

WISDOM 14:27:
For the worship of idols not to be named is the beginning and cause and end of every evil.

WISDOM 14:28:
For their worshipers either rave in exultation, or prophesy lies, or live unrighteously, or readily commit perjury;

WISDOM 14:29:
for because they trust in lifeless idols they swear wicked oaths and expect to suffer no harm.

WISDOM 14:30:
But just penalties will overtake them on two counts: because they thought wickedly of YAHWEH in devoting themselves to idols, and because in deceit they swore unrighteously through contempt for being kodesh.

WISDOM 14:31:
For it is not the power of the things by which men swear, but the just penalty for those who sin, that always pursues the transgression of the unrighteous.
