The Birth Yisrael

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:1

  1     ^¶  When Yisrael went out of Egypt, the house of Yacob from a people of strange language;

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:2

  2    Yahudah was HIS kodesh place, and Yisrael HIS dominion.

The Effect Upon Nature

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:3

  3    The sea saw it, and fled: Yardan was driven back.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:4

  4    The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:5

  5    What ailed you, O you sea, that you were driven back? you Yardan, that you were driven back?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:6

  6    You mountains, that you skipped like rams; and you little hills, like lambs?

The Admonition To Nature

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:7

  7    Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Sovereign, at the presence of the ALMIGHTY of Yacob;

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 114:8

  8    Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
