TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82

An Exhortation To Judges

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:1

  1     ^¶  A Psalm of Asaph. YAHWEH stands in the congregation of the mighty; HE judges among the gods.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:2

  2    How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:3

  3    Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:4

  4    Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:5

  5    They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:6

  6     ^¶  I have said, you are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:7

  7    But you shall die like sons of adam, and fall like one of the princes.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 82:8

  8    Arise, O YAHWEH, judge the earth: for YOU shall inherit all nations.
