The Psalmist's Troubles And Temptation

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:1

  1     ^¶  To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. I cried to YAHWEH with my voice, even to YAHWEH with my voice; and HE gave ear to me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:2

  2    In the day of my trouble I sought Sovereign YAHWEH: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:3

  3    I remembered YAHWEH, and was troubled: I complained, and my ruach was overwhelmed. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:4

  4    YOU hold my eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:5

  5    I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:6

  6    I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with my own heart: and my ruach made diligent search.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:7

  7    Will Sovereign YAHWEH cast off forever? and will HE be favorable no more?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:8

  8    Is HIS mercy clean gone forever? does HIS promise fail forevermore?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:9

  9    Has YAHWEH forgotten to be kind and favorable? has HE in anger shut up HIS tender mercies? Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:10

  10    And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.

He Encourages Himself By The Remembrance Of YAHWEH's Help Of His People

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:11

  11     ^¶  I will remember the works of YAHH: surely I will remember YOUR wonders of old.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:12

  12    I will meditate also of all YOUR work, and talk of YOUR doings.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:13

  13    YOUR way, O YAHWEH, is in the kodesh place: who is so great a ALMIGHTY as our YAHWEH?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:14

  14    YOU are the Almighty that do wonders: YOU have declared YOUR strength among the people.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:15

  15    YOU have with YOUR arm redeemed YOUR people, the sons of Yacob and Yoseph. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:16

  16    The waters saw YOU, O YAHWEH, the waters saw YOU; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:17

  17    The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: YOUR arrows also went abroad.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:18

  18    The voice of YOUR thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:19

  19    YOUR way is in the sea, and YOUR path in the great waters, and YOUR footsteps are not known.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 77:20

  20    YOU lead YOUR people like a flock by the hand of Mosheh and Aaron.
