Praise For YAHWEH Sovereign Power In The Creation

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:1

  1     ^¶  To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise to YAHWEH, all you lands:

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:2

  2    Sing forth the splendor of HIS NAME: make HIS praise splendid.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:3

  3    Say to YAHWEH, How terrible are YOU in YOUR works! through the greatness of YOUR power shall YOUR enemies submit themselves to YOU.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:4

  4    All the earth shall worship YOU, and shall sing to YOU; they shall sing to YOUR NAME. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:5

  5    Come and see the works of YAHWEH: HE is terrible in HIS doing toward the children of Adam.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:6

  6    HE turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in HIM.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:7

  7    HE rules by HIS power forever; HIS eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

For YAHWEH's Favor To His Assembly

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:8

  8     ^¶  O bless YAHWEH our Sovereign Ruler, you people, and make the voice of HIS praise to be heard:

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:9

  9    Which holds our soul in Life, and suffers not our feet to be moved.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:10

  10    For YOU, O YAHWEH, have proved us: YOU have tried us, as silver is tried.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:11

  11    YOU brought us into the net; YOU laid affliction upon our loins.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:12

  12    YOU have caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but YOU brought us out into a wealthy place.

And The Psalmist's Praise For His Experience Of YAHWEH's Goodness

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:13

  13     ^¶  I will go into YOUR house with burnt offerings: I will pay YOU my vows,

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:14

  14    Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth has spoken, when I was in trouble.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:15

  15    I will offer to YOU burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:16

  16    Come and hear, all you that fear YAHWEH, and I will declare what HE has done for my soul.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:17

  17    I cried to HIM with my mouth, and HE was extolled with my tongue.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:18

  18    If I regard iniquity in my heart, Sovereign YAHWEH will not hear me:

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:19

  19    But truly YAHWEH has heard me; HE has attended to the voice of my prayer.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 66:20

  20    Blessed be YAHWEH, which has not turned away my prayer, nor HIS mercy from me.
