David Seeks YAHWEH Upon Former Experience

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:1

  1     ^¶  To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O YAHWEH; attend to my prayer.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:2

  2    From the end of the earth will I cry to YOU, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:3

  3    For YOU have been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:4

  4    I will abide in YOUR tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of YOUR wings. Selah.

He Vows To Serve YAHWEH

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:5

  5     ^¶  For YOU, O YAHWEH, has heard my vows: YOU have given me the heritage of those that fear YOUR NAME.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:6

  6    YOU will prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:7

  7    He shall abide before YAHWEH forever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 61:8

  8    So will I sing praise to YOU NAME forever, that I may daily perform my vows.
