TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:1

  1     ^¶  A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is YAHWEH, and greatly to be HalleluYah in the city of our Sovereign Ruler, in the mountain of HIS kodesh place.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:2

  2    Beautiful is the high situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great KING.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:3

  3    YAHWEH is known in her strongholds for a refuge.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:4

  4    For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:5

  5    They saw it, and so they marveled; they were troubled, and hastened away.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:6

  6    Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:7

  7    YOU break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:8

  8     ^¶  As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of YAHWEH of hosts, in the city of our Sovereign Ruler: YAHWEH will establish it forever. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:9

  9    We have thought of YOUR lovingkindness, O YAHWEH, in the midst of YOUR Great Tabernacle.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:10

  10    According to YOUR NAME, O YAHWEH, so is YOUR praise to the ends of the earth: YOUR right hand is full of righteousness.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:11

  11    Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Yahudah be glad, because of YOUR judgments.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:12

  12    Walk about Zion, and go round about her: count the towers thereof.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:13

  13    Mark you well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that you may retell it to the generation following.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 48:14

  14    For this YAHWEH is our Sovereign Ruler forever and ever: HE will be our guide even to death.
