The Character of the Wicked

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:1

  1     ^¶  For the Leader, A Psalm of David the servant of YAHWEH. The transgression of the wicked says within his heart, that there is no fear of YAHWEH before his eyes.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:2

  2    For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:3

  3    The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he has left off to be wise, and to do right and kindly.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:4

  4    He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.

The Goodness Of YAHWEH

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:5

  5     ^¶  YOUR mercy, O YAHWEH, is in the heavens; and YOUR faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:6

  6    YOUR righteousness is like the great mountains; YOUR judgments are a great deep: O YAHWEH, YOU preserve adam-man and beast.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:7

  7    How excellent is YOUR lovingkindness, O YAHWEH! therefore the children of adam-man put their trust under the shadow of YOUR wings.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:8

  8    They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of YOUR house; and YOU shall make them drink of the river of YOUR pleasures.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:9

  9    For with YOU is the fountain of Life: in YOUR Light shall we see light.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:10

  10    O continue YOUR lovingkindness to them that know YOU; and YOUR righteousness to the upright in heart.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:11

  11    Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 36:12

  12    There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
